First off sorry about not posting for awhile this computer was down. For the most part my weeks I missed were cause of testing one week, the other week was because Marcus was having some family issues and couldn’t make it to work. I was able to get it fixed thanks to Marcus for offering me great tips on how to fix it.

For my last est post Marcus and I went over to the Toyota store, while there I did more inventory and installed some simple programs. Most of the day Marcus and I spent just really talking about this and that. The big project I mentioned when I first started posting is really starting to get wrapped up. I did have to help a women down in costumer sales with setting up and email and helping her with a program. I could get her email to work but I was able to figure out that it was there servers not our Internet.

I’m sad that my internship is almost over cause I had a blast and learned allot along the way. Marcus has given me great tips on being an I. T guy and taught me allot. The time at my internship I was working on my own computer build and I’m typing to you from that successful build my first and hopefully not my last.

On the way to fishers Marcus gave me more tips on being an I. T guy. Another rule I learned with this job is you are never done with work, always, always taking projects home and calls from people. I’m also learning that while people are nice to me while on my internship they are still at work and would like me to be out of the way as ASAP. Marcus gave me a great inside and tips for the job and hopefully well be starting to clear his office and I can take some old parts home.

Marcus started me today with the computers at Chevy and I think I got to about half of them. One computer I looked at was for a mechanic who was still using a windows 98 registered to Collins Nissan. Marcus tells me that this project shouldn’t be to east but I’m learning a lot about the job of an I. T guy. Marcus keeps telling me you got to know two things with this job how to handle people who don’t know what they are doing, and stress of taking on more then one project.

Today was my second day with Marcus. When I first got there Marcus was comming back from a meeting. While working on some projects I had to leave yesterday a moniter hanging on the wall fell down. The guy who put them there didn’t hang it on a stud just on the dry wall. Marcus and I got the monitor to good spot and started working again. I finished a computer and installed it down in the “bull pin”. The people at chevy are really nice and have been alot of help while I have been there. About 1:00 Marcus and I headed over to Ford where we worked on mabey five computers, replaced a monitor and old phones in about 20 min. Marcus showed me a program I have been messing with call TeamViewer.com That was my day and then I came back home and installed some RAM Marcus gave me into my project computer.

Today was my first day on my internship. When I first got there marcus had me to a little bit of work. I started out helping him organize his office and move some stuff around. After I help work on three computers all with the same problem. I learned alot for just being there four hours. The next time I’m there we will be going to other stores. Should be fun

Today I stayed home and worked on my own little project. I have been working on my old xp computer to get it to a good running speed. I found a couple websites one being “Keepitunique.com/AskVG and the other “ButterScotch.com. Keepitunique I used to help find things to help my computer run. BotterScotch has a pod cast that teaches people about networking and how to improve their networks. Tomorrow my internship starts can’t wait.

today I went over to barns and nobles. I really am treading that place like a libary cause its closer and has more books. I picked up a networking book read about 50 pages and already I know there are four differnt way to connect a computer and ways to connect them to the enternet. Also how differnt enthernet cords, like how some run alot better then others. After that picked up lunch at mcdonalds and did some research at home.  What  I mean is I went home and seen how i am connect to the enternet.
